|||yes. try it out yourself
|||The Empire handbook has gears and advisors available, so you would be able to check into quite a bit of what you can use as a premium member. Unfortunately, I don't think the handbook has advisor stats, but just what they do for you. You will also be able to use star techs, which are equivalent of civilization bonuses from AoE2. These you can see from your tech tree. What you can buy from the stores are self evident, as you can simply check the stores.
|||All I can say it's more worth it than you probably think.|||
The Empire Handbook shows all available items for all units. And with Premium you canUSE Rare and Epic items; otherwise you're using uncommon[green] and common[white] items. You can trade with others your Rare and Epic items...if you are an AOE vet, you can do without Premium until you buy it. NoobBashing is common
Off Topic : Repeating myself but CIV5 is an Epic failure eh!
|||It's worth it.|||You can use:
Rare and Epic Items
Advisors
You get access to:
Ranked PvP
Use of the Arena for arranged PvP
You can build:
More Workshops
More Crafting Schools
More Storage Space
probably more but those are the main things...
|||I highly suggest waiting to holiday season...|||

|||You also get a portion of what other players spend in your city if you are premium. 5% I believe. That's why you see people advertising Moes and the item shops, whenever someone buys something then they get a portion back. So if you get, say 20 people to spend 200 gold on the moe chest things (4000 total) you would get 200 gold back, assuming it is 5%. And if you get people to do that every few hours, well you see why people advertise their shops.
You can also mail rare/epic items to yourself or other players. I don't think free players can do that.
Other than that it looks like TheYakIsGo covered everything I can think of right now. Oh, this might not be important if you're a PC gamer, but you also get more achievements.
Hope this helps
Check this out, It's a comparison sheet tells you the difference between, Premium and Free also Pro which isn't out yet lol.
