clarification needed!

"cavalrybonus damage +12.3%" - does this mean bonus damage when equipped on cavalry units or bonus damageagainst cavalry when equipped on any unit?

Similarly,

"infantry armor +7.9%" - bonus damage reduction against infantry units or bonus damage reduction when worn by infantry units?

Also anyone know what "+snare %" mean? Does it increase the chance to snare other units or its duration?

|||Cavalary Bonus Damage means - You deal bonus damage to Cavalary.

Cavalary Armour +8% - You have 8% more armour vs Cavalary

+snare % - you will snare them at slower speeds (slow them down more).|||

can you tell me how snare works in this game? I've noticed that sometimes my units get slowed when attacked by others. Same the other way around. Is it random?
