A Few Basic Questions

Good day. I have some simple questions to those of you more familiar with AoEO.

First, is it possible to acquire a full tech tree? If I understand correctly, the maximum level is 40, and with only 3 points per level it is impossible to unlock all the tech. I hope I am wrong because I want everything.

Second, when a piece of equipment says Ranged Armor: +10% does than mean any unit it is equipped to will get +10% vs ranged foes, or only when equipped to a ranged unit?

no, you cant get the full tree

yes, thatany unit apearently gets a 10% resistance off ranged units (not confirmed)

I'm sure they'll release a Tech Tree bonus pack for $40 that allows you to unlock the entire tech tree..

I'm betting it will be released a week or 2 after most of the initial 6-month subs run out..

|||I doubt it. I am sure they intend it to be something like a civ bonus in AOE2. They might increase the lvl cap to make people be able to unlock more, but I doubt they will let someone acquire every single tech.

Star Techs are a premuim feature probably never to be changed. We should throw out strategy if they let use unlock everything on the tech tree. Doesn't make much sense.
