Max population for AI?

I hate games where computer cheats. Like getting resources from the sky and such. In PvP it's not a problem, but in PvE - is it just me or computer has max pop of 500 or something? He can run out of resources but his pop is always in hundreds.

They still have a pop cap, the problem is that there are times when you face multiple enemies, who share the same colour, so you can't realistically tell, they're considered seperate(although the same) enemies, each with their own individual pop cap.

It's basically several enemy instances, they just all share the same unit types and colour, so you can't tell how many you're facing without scouting.

You can usually count the number of enemies by the town center locations, and bear in mind each enemy can have(like you) a maximum of 4 town centers, but they usually place additional town centers fairly near to their main one, if you face 3 enemies, i suppose there's a potential of 12 enemy town centers. It's not always a case of each enemy having(or building) upto the town center limit though, and in some quests these exist when the quest starts(and they don't build additional).

The main issue is there's no clear differentiation between each enemy on a given map/quest.

in fact, u can get 500 pop in pve as well, just spam consumables when you can, they dont use pop.

on some quests, they just spam units (without the need of any military building), but most of the time, they have the same pop as we do, and play by the same rules
