What to do with ruined items ?

Can you only sell them to a store and get some money or is there a way to fix those items ?

|||if you would have read the description you would have known that you only can vendor them
|||Would be cool if they could be implemented somehow into the crafting system, i.e. fix them up into good or uber items in various ways either with more materials or a certain number of same ruined type etc.
