I know from the FAQ's that the game is PC exclusive, but it would be a great idea to have a WP7 companion where you could check the status of your home city (e.g. resource production, connect to the chat, trade, and other basic tasks); not actual game play (i.e. quests) just a management app to check in while you are away from the PC. I believe something similar exists for Halo.
Any thoughts?
It would be a great way to both promote the game by havingan appin the marketplace associated with it + a great way to introduce more people to the Windows Phone 7 platform. Microsoft should really take advantage of this.

better make something for android and ios, it would reach far more people!
i dont think someone would buy a wp7 phone just because of something like this
|||A web interface would reach even more people :P
Though if it's made in the latest Flash it could limit the people who can use it. Not every MID supports the (latest) Flash (yet).

actually a lot of people think it's a great phone os; I have Samsung Focus and from using it since January I think the WP7 has great potential, there are some major flaws and few key features are still missing, but if that's fixed in upcoming updates then it's just a matter of time before WP7 overtakes Apple and Android.
If you haven't tried the system, you should at least give it a look next time you are in a mobile shop.

I don't see why Microsoft would make something for competing systems when it has it's own Phone os; + Android and iPhone do not support Xbox live, Windows Phone 7 does; with the Xbox hub where you can play Live games and get gamer points. Some games like Full House Poker or Fable Coin Golf are even Linked with their Xbox counterparts.

that is probably true, but some people don't even know about WP7 so it would still give the platform some publicity and for people who are on the fence about it, it might just sway them to give it a try
lol @ wp7 overtaking android and ios
why they should make something for competing systems?

afterall they want to make money, nobody would ever buy a wp7 phone just for such an app. wp7 is just not as attractive right now, (i would never buy one, as i think the UI looks terrible).
"I don't see why Microsoft would make something for competing systems when it has it's own Phone os"
google does make apps for other os´s (google maps on ios for example), so why shouldnt MS do it aswell?
except microsoft prefers to make less profit. (wouldnt wonder me though)
|||I think since this game is geared for a younger audionce,if theWindows Phone 7 had an app of their favorite game, then it would look more appelling to first time phone buyers who play AoEO.|||the younger audience would probably buy a ipod touch for gaming as they cant afford a monthly data plan for smartphones (or the parents wont pay it for them)...|||I also suggested this. Would be great to have something like that on my WP7|||How about something for the iphone instead of the android ( iphone wannabe).|||how about apps on all os´s|||No body checked out that link i posted? "PCAnywhere 12.5 for mobile"? Or is it something different your looking for for free?
|||This would be a good feature for the website. But don't make it in flash or java. That way iphone users can use it.|||Anyone who does not know what my first post was refering to check out this link:

I was thinking of having something similar to Halo Waypoint App for the AOEO game. Check the video for details.
